This home is located at 3336 Scimitar Way, in the Captain’s Cove development near Greenbackville, VA. It sits on a navigable salt-water canal that empties into the beautiful Chincoteague Bay—the last virtually unpolluted mid-Atlantic coastal bay.  Greenbackville is on the state line between Maryland and Virginia and is approximately 40 miles south of the beach resort of Ocean City, MD. Across the Chincoteague Bay, within sight from the home’s deck, windows and screened porch are Chincoteague and Assateague Islands—home of the famous saltwater cowboys and wild ponies.  

FROM PHILADELPHIA, WILMINGTON, & POINTS NORTH
From I-#95 south in Delaware, go on state route #1 South toward Smyrna and Dover. Take the exit to Rt. #13 South toward Salisbury and Norfolk, VA. When you reach Salisbury Rt.#13 takes a bypass around that city. Stay on Rt.#13 and the Bypass until it intersects with Rt.#12 south toward Snow Hill. Follow Rt. #12 south through Snow Hill, Girdletree, and Stockton. Continue on until you arrive at State Line Rd. Turn left toward Greenbackville and continue 500 ft. to entrance to Captain’s Cove and turn right on Captain’s Corridor. Follow it around past the golf course, tennis courts, mail boxes, swimming pool, etc. to Scimitar Way which goes off to the right. Follow Scimitar Way to 3336--the last house on the right before Scimitar ends at the Bay.

FROM WASHINGTON, DC, ANNAPOLIS, AND POINTS WEST
Follow Rt. # 50 east over the Bay Bridge. Continue through Easton, Cambridge toward Salisbury. Stay on Rt#50 toward Ocean City and that will put you on the Salisbury Bypass which becomes Rts. #50 and #13. (Do not go on Business Rt. #50). Stay with Rt. #13 until it intersects Rt#12 (Do not go toward Ocean City via Rt#50 once you are on the Bypass). Follow Rt. #12 south. Continue on until you arrive at State Line Rd. Turn left toward Greenbackville and continue 500 ft. to entrance to Captain’s Cove and turn right on Captain’s Corridor. Follow it around past the golf course, tennis courts, mail boxes, swimming pool, etc. to Scimitar Way which goes off to the right. Follow Scimitar Way to 3336--the last house on the right before Scimitar Way ends at the Bay.

FROM HAMPTON ROADS AREA, CAPE CHARLES AND SOUTH
Take Rt. #13 north through the Bay Bridge-Tunnel and follow #13 north to Rt. 175--the way to Chincoteague Island. Go right on Rt. #175 toward Chincoteague Island. Shortly after Ray’s Shanty Restaurant and a roller rink, turn left on Rt. #679. Follow Rt. #679 until it intersects with Stateline Road and Maryland Rt.#12 begins. Turn right on Stateline Rd. toward Greenbackville and continue 500 ft. to entrance to Captain’s Cove and turn right on Captain’s Corridor. Follow it around past the golf course, tennis courts, mail boxes, swimming pool, etc. to Scimitar Way which goes off to the right. Follow Scimitar Way to 3336--the last house on the right before Scimitar Way ends at the Bay.
